2003
National Trails Day--June 7 Will include a Fitness
Fair, trail running, orienteering competitions, demonstrations,
exhibits, nature hikes and trail projects with the US Forest
Service.
NORBA
National Championship Mountain Bike Series Race-- June 12-15Only
one of four NORBA sanctioned races in the country. This four
day event draws more than 2,000 professional and amateur competitors
to the mountain to compete in cross country, mountain cross, short
track and downhill events.
24
Hours of Snowshoe--June 28-29 The country's largest 24-hour
mountain bike relay race attracts more than 5,000 spectators and
racers to witness and compete around the clock in what has been
described as one of the most grueling 24 hour relay events ever

Snowshoe Mountain Fourth of July Celebration-- July
4-6 Enjoy All American Cookouts, plenty of activities for the
kids, Village activities, live entertainment and a spectacular
mountaintop fireworks display.
Mountain Stage and Fire on the Mountain Chili
Cookoff-- July 11-12 The weekend kicks off with a performance
under the stars by the world renown syndicated radio show Mountain
Stage. From the Snowshoe main stage overlooking the Allegheny
Mountains, you'll enjoy a variety of nationally recognized as well
as up and coming entertainers. The event continues on Saturday
with the Fire on the Mountain Chili Cookoff. Recognized as one
of the largest and best cookoff in the country, this year's Cookoff
will feature a $10,000 first place prize making it the second
richest Cookoff in the country. Live entertainment, crafts and
fun and games throughout the day also highlight this great
weekend.
Freedom Fest Motorcycle Rally--July 16-20 The perfect week
for motorcycle enthusiasts! Bike shows, live entertainment and
great times with friends on some of the best mountain road touring
in the East make this rally one not to miss. Visit

Taste
of the Mountains Wine and Jazz Festival-- July 25-27 Wines
from throughout the world, great chefs from across the state and
fantastic jazz entertainers gather under the Festival
Tent.
Snowshoe Institute--July 31-August 3 Celebrating the best
of human endeavors, the Snowshoe Institute features seminars and
workshops in music, history, writing and theater as well as concert
performances, entertainment and renown guest speakers. Visit

Snowshoe Symphony Festival--August 2-3The West Virginia
Symphony Orchestra brings inspiring classical music to the scenic
mountains of Snowshoe. Enjoy themed dinners, concert
performances under the festival tent, gourmet dinners and arts and
crafts.
International Bowhunters World
Championships-- August 14-17 This world championship event
attracts more than 3,000 bowhunters and archers from around the
world to compete for the title of World Champion. Vendors,
family entertainment, fireworks, and more highlight this special
week.
Snowshoe Labor Day Weekend--August 30-September
1 The final fun and affordable family vacation of the
summer. Enjoy fun and games for the kids, live entertainment
and scheduled activities at some of the best prices of the
summer.
Snowshoe Downhill--September 6-7 Described as one
of the best downhill courses in the country, the Snowshoe Downhill
will give amateur and pro racers the chance to compete for cash and
prizes while racing on the downhill course chosen for the NORBA
National Championhips Mountain Bike Series.
WV
Harley Owners Group Motorcycle Rally-- September 11-13 The
HOG's return to Snowshoe for three days of motorcycle touring,
vendors, bike shows, biker games and live entertainment exlusive to

Brews, Blues and Barbecue
Weekend-- September 26-27 Celebrate the height of fall foliage
while enjoying great blues entertainment, microbrews from across the
region and fabulous homemade Southern barbecues. This event is
the perfect end to Snowshoe Summer Event
Series.
Snowshoe 5-Miler--September 27 In conjunction with
the Brews, Blues and Barbecue Weekend, Snowshoe will be hosting the
2nd Annual Snowshoe 5-Miler Race. With our nearly mile high
summit, you can be assured of cool temps and great views during this
running race.
Snowshoe Fall Rendezvous Motorcycle Rally-- October
3-5 A new event this year, Snowshoe's Fall Rendezvous will be a
fantastic weekend of touring and activities while experiencing the
height of the fall colors.

Colors Peak--September 22-October 12 Experience some of the most
spectacular fall foliage viewing in the entire
country.

Opening Day
for 2002/2003 Season November 22 (weather
permitting) Get those skis and snowboards waxed
and edges sharpened...it's time for another great season of snow
sliding at Snowshoe Mountain. This season promises to be bigger and
better than ever!
Thanksgiving at Snowshoe November
27-30 Thanksgiving at Snowshoe has become a family tradition.
There's no better way to enjoy this four day holiday than with your
family on the slopes of Snowshoe Mountain. Features great skiing and
snowboarding, fun festive activities and Thanksgiving
Dinner.
Winter
Celebration and Demo Days Weekend December 14-15 Enjoy live
entertainment, fireworks and free demos from all the top ski and
snowboard manufacturers. If you're looking to make those first turns
of the season, this is the weekend for you!
Rail
Competition-Snowboard Event #1 December 14 Test out your
sliding skills on the first Annual Rail Competition in the Village
at Snowshoe.
Team Snowshoe
Appreciation Days December 14-16 Employees from ski and
snowboard shops across the East Coast are invited up for special
parties, equipment demos, and free skiing and riding. Call

College Road
Trip December 15-17 College students, celebrate the end to
finals and the first semester on the slopes of Snowshoe. Huge
parties, crazy games and great skiing and
riding.
Christmas Week at
Snowshoe December 21-25 Features skiing and riding with Santa,
special welcome receptions, caroling, bonfires around the Yule Log,
Christmas crafts and a special Christmas Eve Party complete with
Santa and toys for the kids.
New Year's Eve
Bash December 31Ring in the New Year at Snowshoe. Parties for

College Winter
Break January 1-4 and 5-8 Enjoy huge happy hour parties, live

Psychocross
Mountain Championships January 4 Brings skiers and
snowboarders together for this first-to-the-finish free-for-all race
through the Mountaineer Terrain Park.
Women's
Weekend January 8-11 Special wine and cheese receptions, women
only ski and equipment clinics, spa treatments and ladies night in
all bars.
Slopestyle
Snowboard Competition January 19 Some of the region's best
riders will be showing off all their aerial and sliding skills in
the Mountaineer Terrain Park.
Super Bowl
Weekend January 26 After skiing and riding all day, head to
one of our many bars and enjoy Super Bowl parties all weekend
long.
Jose Cuervo Games
of Winter January 31-February 2 All weekend long, enjoy huge
happy hours, crazy on slope games, great live entertainment and the
ever popular Saturday Afternoon Jose Cuervo Bar
Bash.
Cupp Run
Challenge February 3 One of the East Coast's most demanding
races. On a course which covers over 1,000 vertical feet in 1.25
miles, pros and amateurs will race the giant slalom course competing
for cash and prizes totaling over $1,000.
Mardi Gras Fat
Tuesday Party February 11 Parades, themed costume parties,
happy hour celebrations and much more...
Absolut Winter
Festival March 1 Fun and games on the slopes, ski races for
charity, great events in the Village and much

Spring
Break Snow BashMarch 2-6 and March 9-12 All week long you can
